Privacy policy
Last updated 11 August 2026
Anwar ENT (West London ENT), the private practice of Mr Mohiemen Anwar, is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it and the rights you have over it. It applies to the information you share when you contact us or request a consultation.
Who we are
For the purposes of UK data protection law, the data controller is Anwar ENT, the private ENT practice of Mr Mohiemen Anwar, Consultant ENT Surgeon. You can reach the practice at secretary@anwar-ent.com or by writing to Cromwell Hospital, 164-178 Cromwell Road, London SW5 0TU.
Information we collect
When you use the contact or booking form you choose what to share with us. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address and telephone number, your date of birth, the city and country you live in, your preferred clinic location, whether the appointment is for an adult or a child, the area of ENT concern and the type of visit, the details of your GP, the reason for your enquiry and anything you write in the message field. If you choose to, you may also tell us how you heard about the practice.
Our hosting provider and analytics tools may also collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. This is described under Cookies and analytics below.
Information about your health
Some of what you tell us, such as the area of ENT concern, the reason for your enquiry, your GP details or anything you describe in the message field, is information about your health. Data protection law treats this as a special category of personal data and gives it extra protection. We collect it only so that the practice can respond to your enquiry and prepare for your consultation, and we hold it in confidence. Please share only what is needed at the enquiry stage; fuller clinical details are taken during your consultation.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide only to respond to your enquiry, to arrange and manage your consultation and care, and to keep a record of our correspondence with you. Our lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to and administering enquiries about our services, since you have chosen to contact us. Where the information concerns your health, we rely on the basis that the processing is necessary for the provision of healthcare and medical treatment by a professional bound by a duty of confidentiality. Where you go on to become a patient, the handling of your clinical records is governed separately by the privacy notice of the hospital or clinic at which you are seen.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We use a small number of trusted providers to operate the website and deliver your enquiry to us. These are Brevo, which delivers the messages generated by the website forms; Vercel, which hosts the site and provides its privacy-conscious visitor analytics; Google, whose maps we embed so you can find our clinics and whose analytics we use only if you accept analytics cookies; and Vimeo, which hosts and plays the videos on the site. These providers process your information only on our instructions. Where you go on to be seen, we may also share your details with the hospital or clinic arranging your care. We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as is necessary to deal with your enquiry and for our own administrative and legal records, after which it is securely deleted. Clinical records, where they exist, are retained by the treating hospital or clinic in line with their own retention schedules and professional guidance.
Cookies and analytics
The cookies needed to make the site work are set automatically. For anything beyond that we ask first: when you arrive you are shown a short banner, and our analytics load only if you accept. These analytics are Vercel Analytics and, where enabled, Google Analytics, and they help us understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back.
Some pages embed content from other providers, namely Google Maps on our locations page and Vimeo video players. When that content loads, those providers may receive your IP address and set their own cookies. The video players load only when you choose to play a video.
Where your information is held
Some of the providers we use are based outside the United Kingdom and may process your information in the United States. These include Vercel, Google and Vimeo. Where information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as an adequacy decision (the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses, so that your information continues to be protected.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights please contact the practice secretary at secretary@anwar-ent.com. We will respond within the time allowed by law.
Keeping your information secure
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Information submitted through this website is transmitted over an encrypted connection.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date above.
Contact and complaints
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, please contact the practice secretary at secretary@anwar-ent.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
