Do I need a GP referral to see Mr Anwar?
A GP referral is not required to book a private consultation with Mr Anwar. If you hold private medical insurance your insurer may ask for a referral before they authorise cover, so it is worth checking your policy first.
Does Mr Anwar see children?
Yes. Mr Anwar treats children as well as adults, and paediatric ENT is a core part of his practice. He sees common childhood problems such as glue ear, recurrent tonsillitis and blocked noses.
Do you accept private medical insurance and can I pay for myself?
Mr Anwar is recognised by all major UK insurers including Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality and WPA. Self-pay is also welcome if you would prefer to arrange your own care, and fees are confirmed before any appointment.
What happens at a first consultation?
Mr Anwar will discuss your symptoms and history then carry out a focused ear, nose and throat examination, including nasal endoscopy where it is needed. He will explain the likely diagnosis, set out your options and arrange any hearing tests or scans that are required.
