Aesthetic and Functional Transformation
Rhinoplasty, often referred to as a "nose job," is a surgical procedure aimed at altering the shape and size of the nose. It is performed to achieve aesthetic and functional goals, catering to the unique needs of each individual.
Aesthetic Enhancement:
1- Improve the nose's appearance by reshaping it to fit the facial structure better.
2- Address cosmetic issues such as bumps, dips, asymmetry, or an overly large or small nose.
3- Achieve a more balanced and harmonious facial appearance, boosting self-confidence and personal satisfaction.
Functional Improvement:
1- Correct structural problems that lead to breathing difficulties, such as a deviated septum or other internal obstructions.
2- Repair nasal damage resulting from injury or trauma, restoring appearance and function.
3- Enhance nasal airflow and overall respiratory health, improving the quality of life.
Rhinoplasty in London is a highly individualized procedure, with the approach and techniques tailored to the specific desires and needs of the patient, whether they are seeking aesthetic refinement, functional correction, or both.
Aesthetic open Rhinoplasty
Aesthetic Rhinoplasty
Aesthetic rhinoplasty is a cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the visual appearance of the nose. It focuses on reshaping the nose to create a more balanced and harmonious facial look, in line with the patient’s desires.
Common Procedures:
1- Reshaping the nasal tip for a more refined appearance.
2- Removing bumps or humps on the bridge of the nose.
3- Adjusting the size or width of the nose to complement facial features.
4- Correcting asymmetry for a more balanced look.
Benefits:
1- Improved facial aesthetics.
2- Increased self-confidence.
3- Natural-looking results that enhance overall facial harmony.
Functional Rhinoplasty
Functional rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct structural issues that impact breathing and nasal function. It addresses problems that may cause obstruction or difficulty in breathing.
Common Procedures:
• Septoplasty to straighten a deviated septum and improve airflow.
• Repairing internal nasal valves to alleviate obstructions.
• Addressing nasal trauma or congenital disabilities that impair breathing.
Benefits:
• Enhanced nasal function and improved airflow.
• Better sleep quality and overall respiratory health.
• Improved quality of life through easier breathing.
Both aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty in London combine in a single procedure, allowing patients to simultaneously address cosmetic and functional concerns, providing a comprehensive solution tailored to individual needs.

Achieving Facial Symmetry and Balance
Enhancing facial symmetry and balance involves adjusting the facial features to create a more harmonious and proportional appearance. This procedure achieves various cosmetic procedures or treatments, such as rhinoplasty, which reshapes the nose to better align with other facial features. The goal is to improve the overall aesthetic of the face by ensuring that each feature complements the others, resulting in a more balanced and attractive look. Improved symmetry can boost self-confidence and enhance one's overall appearance, contributing to a sense of well-being and self-assurance.
Aesthetic
Mr Anwar mantra when it comes to Aesthetic Rhinoplasty surgery is to enhance the appearance of the face by refining the nose, but keeping with the identity and the dimensions of the face. Aesthetic nasal surgery can also have functional outcomes as both often overlaps. Mr Anwar is trained in both open and closed Rhinoplasty surgery.
Functional
More accurately called functional SeptoRhinoplasty. Often this include complex manoeuvres to correct and internal and external deformities of the nose. Most of nasal reconstructions depends of cartilage acquired from the septal cartilage itself, but in revision surgery, auricular conchal cartilage (ear pinna) harvest or even rib cartilage harvest might be needed.

A couple of months ago, I had a septorhinoplasty performed by Mr Moheimen Anwar and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I have thick skin and my tip is still swollen (it takes a year to see the final results) and despite that I absolutely love the nose despite this! I can breathe much better and couldn’t be more thankful for Mr Anwar’s help. From start to finish, he made sure I got what I wanted and explained to me the change. On once occasion, he even photoshopped a picture to show me what the end result would be to ensure that I was ready to proceed with the surgery. A superb surgeon and my confidence has sky rocked due to this surgery. Truly an expert in his craft!

Frequency Questions
Q. Do you perform any Rhinoplasty surgery?
A. I have performed rhinoplasty for patients with previous sports injuries, previous nasal surgeries, and congenital deformities, but also for patients with chronic nasal conditions and even obstructive sleep apnea. Nasal valve surgery is an important aspect of functional septorhinoplasty, whereby septoplasty alone might not be enough. I have delivered international lectures on the importance of nasal valve surgery and the balance of nasal valve surgery between functional and aesthetic Rhinoplasty.
So, to answer the question, YES, indeed, I do Rhinoplasty surgery.
Q. Will rhinoplasty change the face?
A. I can confirm that rhinoplasty can change your face by enhancing facial symmetry and improving proportions. The extent of the change depends on your goals and the specific adjustments made. Rhinoplasty can refine the nose’s shape, size, and profile, leading to a more harmonious overall appearance. Additionally, it can correct functional issues like a deviated septum, improving breathing. It's important to have a detailed consultation to discuss your expectations and understand the potential outcomes of the procedure.
Q. Will rhinoplasty affect the breathing?
A. Rhinoplasty can positively or negatively affect breathing, depending on the specifics of the surgery. When performed correctly, rhinoplasty can improve breathing by addressing issues like a deviated septum. However, if not done properly, it can lead to nasal obstruction. It's crucial to choose a skilled surgeon who prioritises the procedure's aesthetic and functional aspects to ensure optimal results. Always discuss your breathing concerns with your surgeon during the consultation.
Q. Are rhinoplasty painful?
A. rhinoplasty is not typically painful. During the procedure, you're under anaesthesia, so you won't feel anything. Post-surgery, discomfort is usually manageable with prescribed painkillers. Patients often report a feeling of congestion or mild pressure rather than sharp pain. Swelling and bruising are common but subside within a few weeks. Proper aftercare and following your surgeon's instructions will help ensure a smooth recovery. Overall, the experience varies, but significant pain is not usual in rhinoplasty.
